Why hello there gorgeous!

Yes, you! Right there, staring back at the screen. You're gorgeous!!! And I'm so happy you're here reading Polkadotsi, because it means that perhaps, maybe (fingers crossed!!) you're ready to totally and utterly fall head over heels in love with yourself! (squeeee!)

I have a few tools that I'd like you to consider today, while you go about your daily business... and if you're ready, by the end of this article I'd like you to throw away your scales.

That's right, throw them away! You can even smash them in a fit of passion if you feel so inclined!

What I would REALLY love is if  you DO throw away your scales, send me a photo and I'll share it in my #smashthescales movement.  But I digress, I promised some tools and some thoughts, so let's get right into it.

Step 1 - Quantify The Things You DON'T Measure

If you are going to insist on assigning an arbitrary number to yourself, I want to ensure that you're consistent - because we are very thorough.

Do you measure your:

  • Hair weight
  • Nose length
  • Toe Girth
  • Fingernail length

No.... I didn't think so... Why then are you assigning weight and value to your body's interaction with gravity? It's equally as meaningless as the length of your nose.

Step 2 - Take Back Your Power

That little number on the scale does not assess anything other than your body's interaction with gravity. Nothing, zip, zippo, zilch.

It doesn't give indication to your overall health. It doesn't indicate how others perceive you, and it certainly does not indicate any of your amazing, sparkly qualities.

Infact, if that stupid number is making you feel down now, chances are it'll make you feel down no matter what it is ... so the most logical thing to do is to flip the bird to that number right now.

That's right - the scales are evil. They are assholes, and you are SO much better without them in your life.

Step 3 - The Breakup

Assign yourself some truly wonderful things that you can measure your progress by, as these are a FAR more useful metric for how you are progressing in life, and as a bonus they'll make you feel uplifted. Try measuring your life based on something really positive for example:

  • How happy you feel,
  • How energetic you're feeling,
  • Your lust for life,
  • How often you laughed in a day
  • How physically strong you feel

You are worth so much more than your interaction with gravity.

Sparkle on gorgeous person, and send me your breakup pics!
